Lezli Rubin-Kunda (Canada - Israel)
Updated: 13-03-2017 17:02– A live drawing performance on a large wall carried out on inside or outside wall at one of the sites*
MORPH video
FLUX (working title)
Venue: Romantso
Date: 20 March 2017
Hour: 19:00 - 22:00
A sound component, consisting of a looped recording of a flowing river will be projected in the space. Over this aural backdrop, I will add my charcoal drawing – perpetual marking and erasing over the surface, trying to "catch the flow" as it constantly forms and dissolves,
The process attempts, paradoxically, to depict, in the non-temporal medium of drawing - the constant movement of water
[As an added component, every so often the video of the moving water will be projected over my drawing for afew seconds.
- Nothing is solid or stationary; sense of groundlessness produces both vertigo as well as a sense of exhilaration and endless possibilities
* Work can remain as drawing/sound installation following the performance
